  • Ingredients:

    • 5 cups of wholemeal flour
    • 1 teaspoon of salt
    • One dessert spoon liquid honey
    • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
    • Half a cup of warm water.
    • One cup of toasted walnuts chopped
  • Instructions:

    1. Place the flour in a bowl with the chopped walnuts and salt.
    2. In a jug place half a cup of warm water, melted honey and yeast and leave in a warm place until it reaches the top of the jug.
    3. When it has frothed up add it to the four and walnuts and add another one a half cups of warm water. Stir and place in a well-greased loaf tin and leave it to rise in a warm place.
    4. Once it has reached the top of the tin bake it in a preheated oven at 180c for 40 minutes. You can add fresh herbs or other seeds of your choice to the loaf.
